BRAABJ is open to print, broadcast, and multi-media journalists as well as public relations professionals, journalism professors and instructors, media sales professionals, high school and college students, and freelance journalists. Our accomplishments include:

• Awarding more than $15,000 in scholarships
• Hosting Annual Scholarship Luncheon to raise money for scholarships
• Sponsoring 10 students and two media professionals at the NABJ convention 2014 and 2015
• Recognizing 15 Pioneering Journalists in our community to show our appreciation as part of annual Scholarship Luncheon
• Hosting monthly programs featuring newsmakers and latest trends
• Hosting an annual Christmas party where we collect toys for the needy
• Sponsoring a mentorship program for area college students
• Conducting Media 101 workshop to teach nonprofits how to utilize the media
• Promoting diversity by conducting diversity survey to showcase minorities in management

DUES
Full members $40
(Full-time journalists or multi-media journalists, reporters, anchors, photographers)

Associate $30
(media related or part-time journalists, freelancers, educators, public relations professionals) 

Students $15
(college and high school students)

Emeritus Retired/Full membership $50
(retired journalists) 

Memberships are good for one year from July 1 to June 30.  All BRAABJ  members will have:

• FREE access to all of our meetings and workshops
• FREE quality professional development programs
• TONS of great networking opportunities
• DISCOUNTS for NABJ Convention registration
